rocks in ch'town
This was taken on the morning we left PEI for the 5+ hour drive back to Halifax on Saturday. What a beautiful spot. There were lots of things that we didn't get a chance to do, but dad always said "we'll save it for the next time we come." I'm going to hold him to that.

Green Gables
I swear it was raining when we took this pic, though the sky certainly doesn't look that way. I never read the books about Anne of Green Gables, but I knew enough people who consider them special, so it was worth the extra 40 minute drive to go see the spot that was the inspiration. Of course the sites were closed, but the area is certainly gorgeous, and was my favorite part of the trip.
Arriving in PEI
As we drove over the Confederation bridge which connects Prince Edward Island to the mainland of New Brunswick, it was almost eerie how everything to the right of the bridge was dark and gloomy, while everything to the left was bright and beautiful. This pictures summarizes the beautiful landscape of PEI pretty well, and the schizophrenic nature of the sky that afternoon.

Moncton, New Brunswick
This is the only picture we took in Moncton, but trust me, it was a beautiful little town. I loved all the red brick buildings and structures down main street. I also enjoyed our lunch at the cat motifed (did I just make up a word) restaurant, though I didn't find it funny when dad tried to leave me with the bill.

Vacation!
I finished my 4th year at McGill with my final in Physiology, and a few hours later I was on a plane to Halifax, Nova Scotia. What a wonderful week I spent with my dad. I'm going to cheat a little and pretend that the date I posted each entry and picture was the day I was actually in each place. Hopefully I will get the hang of having a blog, and learn how to include pictures.

I've started a blog
Last month I didn't know what a blog was, and now I have one. Wow, that just feels good to say, "I have a blog." But does one do with a blog? I guess you'll find out.
